Sherman Heights is conducting a neighborhood clean-up to include Hwy 269 (Birmingport Road) and Slayden Avenue (this street runs through both North and South Sherman Heights).
We need your volunteer support to help make this clean up a success. Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Time: 7:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Date: May 9, 2015
Location: Beginning at Avenue E in Moro Park Ensley side and 9th Street South Pratt side. Everyone will meet at Avenue F at Jackson Olin Student Parking Lot.
Helpful Notes: Please wear closed toe shoes, comfortable work clothing, no shorts, long sleeve tops preferred and no flip flops.
Lunch will be provided!!!

Village Creek Human & Environmental Justice Society, Inc. will partner with The Norwood Resource Center for The Alabama Water Watch class for local students in the Norwood community on March 12, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Norwood Recreational Center. The purpose of the class is to test physical and chemical characteristics of water to determine pollution sources and long-term trends in water quality.

On Saturday there will be lunch and FINALE.
What to wear: Closed toe shoes, long pants, sunscreen.
Individuals wearing shorts or open toed shoes will be unable to participate.

Follow signs to registration tent on Avenue M.
